For those who are just going to take the PMP Exam, most of them don‘t know how to review. Although the PMP certification exam is an exam in the United States, in fact, it‘s similar to the review of other exams in China. There‘s nothing special about it. It‘s just that there‘s one more Chinese English translation, and the learning content is different. But in fact, the learning methods are similar, It may even be simpler than some domestic examinations.
For example, compared with the information system project manager examination, the PMP examination has only 200 multiple-choice questions, four hours at a time. The information system project manager examination has three subjects, to test nearly a day, respectively: morning synthesis, 2.5 hours of multiple-choice questions; Afternoon case study, 1.5 hours; Papers, 2 hours; It takes six hours to take the test, and three tests should be passed at one time. As long as there is only one test, even if you haven‘t passed the test, you should take three tests again next time. You see, compared with the information system project manager, the PMP Exam is simply too good.
Secondly, the passing rate of PMP examination in China is relatively high in the world. According to statistics, the overall passing rate is about 50% - 70% (while the passing rate of information system project manager is only about 20%). Therefore, we must pay attention to the PMP examination. After all, we have spent so much money to sign up for it, and maybe we have spent a lot of training fees, but we don‘t need to be too nervous. As long as you review properly and keep a good attitude, you can probably pass it.
To prepare about 3-4 months of test preparation time, every day can take out about two hours to review (weekend of course, you can put in more time). When reviewing, you should read PMBOK at least three times. Through video learning or training, we can master the knowledge of PMBOK. Then, with a lot of exercises, it is suggested that there are more than 8 sets of 200 questions in each set, that is, 1600 questions. In fact, there are not many 1600 questions, because they are all multiple-choice questions. Pay attention to the wrong or not sure to do the topic, mark it down, it is best to do more than two times, you can do it again every few days.
In short, when reviewing, it‘s better to spend 3 or 4 months on solid learning, rather than always looking for a shortcut. Don‘t always believe in the online experience or secret book that you can pass the exam through short-term review. That may be true, but it may be a fluke, or someone else has a strong foundation.
